Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Yama AI is designed as a local-first assistant. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the application.
Information stored in your browser
Conversations, chat titles, preferences, theme choice, and selected model are stored in your browser. They remain there until you delete them in Yama AI or clear your browser data. This version does not sync conversation content to a Yama AI cloud database.
Live AI requests
When you send a message, your prompt, recent conversation context, enabled preferences, and any files you attach are sent to the Yama AI server and then to OpenAI to generate a response. Web Search sends the request needed to retrieve current information. Draft text is not sent until you submit it.
Accounts
Email, Google, and Microsoft account services are handled through Supabase Auth. Yama AI does not receive your Google or Microsoft password. Supabase stores the account information necessary to create and maintain your session.
Files and microphone
Selected files are processed only when you submit them. Voice input uses your browser's speech-recognition feature when available and requires microphone permission. Yama AI does not activate the microphone without your action.
Security and retention
The service applies request limits, file limits, authentication checks, and standard browser security headers. No internet service can promise absolute security. Third-party services process information according to their own terms and retention policies.
Your choices
You can delete individual chats, clear all local conversations, disable Web Search, remove attachments before sending, and sign out at any time.
Contact
The service operator will publish a support address before public launch.
